The Rebel Black Dot Song of the Day
Alison Krauss, "Down to the River to Pray" from O Brother, Where Art Thou?: Soundtrack from the Motion Picture (T.L.A.M.)

Commentary: Despite the title, "Down to the River to Pray," all through the song the lyrics are "Down in the river to pray." Now for something of altogether greater consequence:

"Good Lord, show me the way."

Does the choice of Song of the Day suggest that you watch Dallas?

Only incidentally, as my mother was watching Dallas when I returned home from a meeting at our church. Your question suggest that you watch Dallas—intentionally or incidentally?

I actually watch it intentionally. It gives me what I want from a prime-time soap: scheming, double crosses, and good ol' reprehensible behavior. Additionally, there's the nostalgia factor, as I remember my mom watching it Friday nights when I was a kid, and I would catch moments of it.

EDIT: I meant to say that my mom watched the original Dallas. If she had been watching the current version, she has not told me about any technological advances that allowed her to do that.

Whilst I love a good edit as much as the next bloke, methinks you were right the first time. Is the new series Dallas a sequel to the original Dallas or a continuation of that series? Surely the latter. Granted, decades passed & the show is now on a new network, but think of how many not just characters but players the "two" series share. The new Dallas is the same series as the old Dallas, the same way that the General Hospital of today is the same General Hospital of two decades hence. I remember my mom watching Dallas when I was a wee lad, too.
