Commentary: A big "Thanks for nothing!" to Christ the King Parish in Ann Arbor for rolling out the unwelcome mat to an "open house" yesterday, because I'm a key volunteer & parish leader, but not a cleric or paid employee:
Key volunteers and other leaders are invited to come, but only if accompanied by their pastor.So, because everything I do for the parish I do to lay up treasure in heaven, instead of treasure here on Earth, & because I apparently require the direct supervision of my parish priest at all times, I was not good enough to attend their not-so-open-after-all "open house."
