Fifty-seven years ago to the day, 5 October 1967, Major Clifton Curtis "C.C." Williams Junior, U.S.M.C., died after ejecting from his T-38 Talon, which crashed due to a mechanical failure; he was selected in Astronaut Group 3 in October 1963 & was the seventh member of the Astronaut Corps to perish in Man's conquest of space.The Wayback Machine Tour of Clifton Williams
