Commentary: I tried to answer the question, "What is ska?," posed by a fellow catechist & she asked, "Like 'Mambo № 5'?" No, not like 'Mambo № 5.' I mean, mambo is in the title, after all; the song's not called "Ska № 5." In fairness, though, she probably doesn't know mambo is a genre of music, & I didn't have the time to explain the history of both ska (Jamaica) & mambo (Cuba).
