Duvall, "O Come All Ye Faithful" from O Holy Night (Saint Mike Papa Whiskey)
Commentary: "Adeste Fideles" was likely written by John Francis Wade (1711-1786), an English Catholic exiled in France, & translated into English as "O Come, All Ye Faithful" by Frederick Oakeley (1802-1880), who was later ordained a Catholic priest. It's sad how Duvall, who are Evangelicals, deleted the second verse so as to avoid any reference to the Virgin & changed the third verse to avoid mentioning "all ye citizens of Heaven above!" Apparently, Evangelicals object to Scripture, which makes clear both the virgin birth of the Lord & that all Christians' citizenship is in Heaven.
"O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumpant,
O come ye, o come ye, to Bethlehem,
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of angels:
O come, let us adore Him,
O come let us adore Him,
Ocome, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord!…"
