Skammentary: When God Was Great was the end of the road, as it turned out. I hope the cover art was only unintentionally prophetic.
"M O V E" is about the botched response of our institutions—national, state, & local government; the media-industrial complex; public-health experts & university professors; even the Church—to the pandemic & the popular reaction, from across the political spectrum, against those myriad failures.
"'We are all in this together,'
I've never felt so alone,
Birds of a feather, but mister, this bird has flown…
"When we tried to flatten the curve I was ready and willing and able,
But you've got one hell of a nerve because you took it off of the table,
Now, somebody get me an agent again, we are putting it back on the market,
I want an old Mercury pick-up truck with a backwoods dirt driveway to park it.
"We've gotta move (That's true)
Do you approve? (We do)
We gotta move out of the city!
How 'bout the groove? (That's new)
Do you approve? (We do)
It is so good to know that you're with me.
"Instead of telling us who we should hate,
Why don't you give us someone to love?…"
