1st Intermission: Red Wings 2-0 Blackhawks
Best of seven: Detroit 2-1 Chicago
It's game four, which means it's time for Marian Hossa to score two goals. He scored twice in the fourth game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and twice in the fourth game against the no-longer-mighty Anaheim Ducks. The fourth game against the Chicago Blackhawks? One down, one to go. Shorthanded = awesome.
No Lidstrom? But… the captain's like a Terminator, albeit Swedish instead of Austrian-American: he doesn't tire, he doesn't rest, he doesn't stop. All he does is wear down opposing forwards and score goals by the bunch on the power play. Can we still contain the feisty young 'Hawks without the best defenseman in the N.H.L.? I believe we can. Go Wings!
Believe.
This Week in Motorsport
The Indianapolis 500 is turning out to be a bust. "The Greatest Spectacle in Motorsport"? It's nothing but caution after caution after caution, interspersed with radio transmissions of Danica Patrick's whining from way back in the field. So far, IndyCar can't hold a candle to the excitement of Formula One. Later this afternoon: a replay of the Grand Prix of Monaco. Woot!
