The Rebel Black Dot Song of the 9th Day of Christmas

Relativity, "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" from Joy to the World! (The Last Jolly Man)

Commentary: To my surprise & annoyance, around the parish I am often told that I am a good singer, which I am very clearly not. My brother, now there's a singer! Today's R.B.D.S.O.T.D. is proof.
"God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
Remember Christ our Savior
Was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray:

"O tiding of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy!

"In Bethlehem, in Jury,
This blessed Babe was born
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn,
To which His mother Mary
Did nothing take in scorn.

"O tiding of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy!

"From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed angel came,
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tiding of the same,
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.

"O tiding of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy!

"The shepherds at those tidings
Rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a-feeding
In tempest, storm, and wind,
And went to Bethlehem straightway,
The Son of God to find.

"O tiding of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy,
O tidings of comfort and joy!
Joy!
Joy!
Joy!"
