Nena, "Neunundneunzig Luftballons" via iTunes (The Last Angry Wolverine)
Kommentar: In honor of junior forward Moritz "Moe" Wagner, a native of Berlin, Germany (as has often been mentioned). "Neunundneunzig Luftballons"—also written as "99 Luftballons" & known by the inaccurate English translation "99 Red Balloons"—has nothing to do with Wagner other than being sung in German. (All the other German-language songs in my library relate to the Weltkrieg.) As he is a German, not an American of German ancestry, Wagner's surname is pronounced "Vahg-ner," like the composer Richard Wagner, not "Wag-ner," like the actor Robert Wagner.
I hope Wagner returns to Ann Arbor for his senior season, but he tested the N.B.A. waters after his sophomore year; so, there's no guarantee he'll be back: Moe Buckets-link.
Go Blue!
