The Rebel Black Dot Song o' the Day: Go Blue!
The University of Michigan Marching Band, "I Can't Turn You Loose" from A Saturday Tradition (The Last Angry Wolverine)
Commentary: It is less than ideal to begin the foosball season in a dispirited, surly humor, but to claim to be otherwise would be fundamentally dishonest. Last season was a dismal failure & tremendously disheartening. At some point, all the swagger, all the enthusiasm, all the relentless energy will actually have to produce victories against our greatest rivals, or it will all have been for naught. In mine eyes, this is a make-or-break year for Harbaugh, because it is becoming awfully hard to believe there is substance beneath the style, that all the promise the "Fighting Harbaughs" show every September & October will be realized in November, December (the valiant Wolverines have yet ever to play in the B1G Championship Game), & January. But, I've been wrong before. I'd love to be wrong again.
