26 March 1919-24 April 1920: The Lusk Committee—The New York State Legislature, at the urging of the Union League Club, established a committee under State Senator Clayton Lusk to investigate sedition & criminal anarchism; targets of raids by police, supported by agents of the private American Protective League, included the Russian Soviet Bureau & the Rand School of Social Science.
