19-20 November 1969: The Lunar Module Intrepid, crewed by Pete Conrad & Alan Bean, landed in the Ocean of Storms, within walking distance of the robotic Surveyor 3 probe, which had landed in April 1967; the explorers collected rock samples & parts from Surveyor 3 & deployed the Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package; Bean accidentally destroyed the color video camera & left film behind.
