Operation AXIOM: Between the Wars
9 March 1923: Vladimir Lenin, ailing from two strokes in May & October 1922, suffered a third stroke, leaving him partially paralyzed & unable to speak; he lived out his last months in the palatial Gorki mansion under the care of expensive foreign doctors, chaffeured about in a Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost; he died 21 January 1924 & his embalmed corpse remains on display as a tourist attraction to this day.Lest we forget.
