The Aquabats!, "Santa Claus's Party!" from the I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas Too! E.P. (Captain Thumbs Up!)
Commentary!: Our longstanding compromise between the secular culture & the Church's calendar is to showcase secular Christmas music from 6 December (the feast of Saint Nicholas, the origin of the mythical "Santa Claus") through 23 December & then showcase sacred music from 24 December (Christmas Eve) through 6 January (or thereabouts, the great feast of the Epiphany). This one, like all compromises, is not perfect, but there just isn't enough Advent music to last the three or fours weeks of that season & it would be a mistake to adopt an implacably hostile attitude to the secular culture when there is much delightful though non-religious Christmas music.
