12-21 October 1968: Schirra, Eisele, & Cunningham simulated Lunar Module rendezvous with their Saturn IV-B booster; conducted the first live television broadcasts from an American spacecraft (for which they won a special Emmy Award); tested & evaluated the C.S.M.'s systems, including multiple test-firings of the Service Propulsion System; & contested & defied instructions from Mission Control.
