Commentary: Quoth the Holy Redeemer bulletin:
At the age of nine, he decided on a religious life, & made a vow of perpetual virginity. Aloysius received his first Holy Communion from St. Charles Borromeo (4 November). During his childhood, Aloysius taught Catechesis to the poor, & finally at the age of eighteen joined the Jesuit order. St. Aloysius died from the plague at the age of twenty-three. St. Aloysius is the patron of A.I.D.S. (patients & caregivers) & teenagers.
