Green Day, "Nice Guys Finish Last" from Nimrod (The Last Angry Man)
Commentary: It's bad enough when another's mistake causes one's best laid plans to go awry, but 'tis worse still when yet another says he is glad the mistake happened to one instead of someone else, because one will react to it far less angrily than would many others. One is certain that was intended as a compliment on one's gentleness & patience (fruits of the Holy Spirit, both), but the praise was ill-timed, while the wound was yet fresh, & so felt like insult heaped upon injury. Thus, this bonus R.B.D.S.O.T.D. about being told to one's face, in effect, that nice guys finish last.
