The Rebel Black Dot Song o' the Day: SKApril X
Potshot, "Good Times and Bad Times" from Potshot A Go Go (Rude Boy Mika Papa Whiskey-san)
Skammentary: Welcome to "Little Tokyo," a sub-series within SKApril, celebrating the ska of Nihon, the Land of the Rising Sun. Ska is dead, yet big in Japan.
Potshot are Asian Man Records stalwarts & contributed to the inaugural SKApril in 2011. I enjoy Potshot's music, though beyond guesswork based on the song titles, I rarely know about what they are singing, since I find their lyrics mostly unintelligible, sung as they are in a free-wheeling blend of Japanese & "Engrish."
