12-16 November 1982: Brand, Overmyer, Allen, & Lenoir deployed two commercial communications satellites, which were boosted into geosynchronous orbits by Payload Assist Module-D kick motors, & conducted three student-designed experiments; a spacewalk by Allen & Lenoir was cancelled due to problems with both spacesuits; after 81 orbits, the Columbia landed at California's Edwards A.F.B.
