Goldfinger, "Superman" from Hang Ups (Rude Boy Mike Papa Whiskey)
Skammentary: The occasion of "Superman" as the R.B.D.S.O.T.D. seems like a good time to remind one & all that this SKAugust is all about music that one could have been enjoying in 1998, not the music your humble narrator was enjoying in 1998. "Superman" is eligible, as it's off the 1997 album Hang-Ups, but I wasn't listening to Goldfinger in 1998. I didn't see my first ska show (ska bands live in concert) until February 1999, at Clutch Cargo's in Pontiac, Michigan. The precise timing of when I first encountered most bands' music is lost to history, but the pace of music collecting increased greatly once the Blue Tree Whacking creative collective started going to ska shows.
