The Red Bull Stratos project may not have been the "mission to the edge of space" it was trumpeted as—the Kármán line, situated sixty miles, or one hundred kilometers, above sea level is typically considered the boundary 'twixt Earth's atmosphere & outer space; Felix Baumgartner jumped from an altitude of twenty-four miles, or thirty-nine kilometers—we here at The Secret Base salute the record-setting leap, both as an individual achievement & for the spirit of adventure & exploration it encapsulated & still represents.
