4-12 March 1969: The Gumdrop docked with the Spider; Schweickart conducted a spacewalk to demonstrate the ability to transfer externally between the two spacecraft; McDivitt & Schweickart transferred internally to the Spider, Scott remained aboard the Gumdrop; the Spider was test flown extensively, the first flight of a Lunar Module, firing both the Descent & Ascent stage rocket engines.
