Commentary: I loathe the expansion of the B1G from fourteen universities (which was already four too many) to eighteen, including four school from the Ancient Enemy, the Pac-12 (now revived from the ashes, but that's a discussion for another time). One of the few positives from conference expansion was getting rid of the divisions, which means the University of Michigan no longer has to tilt against Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey every bloody year.

It's very clever marketing of the scurrilous Scarlet Knights to lean into their history as "the birthplace of college football," but they should have to defend it by playing a football game on 6 November of every year, regardless of the day of the week.
