Today is the optional memorial of Saint Hilary (c. 300-c. 368), bishop & Doctor of the Church, the Malleus Arianorum ("Hammer of the Arians"): Saint-link Unus, Saint-link Duo, & Wikipedia-link.

Commentary: Quoth the bulletin:
Hilary spent nearly four years in exile, though the reasons for this banishment remain obscure. The traditional explanation is that Hilary was exiled for refusing the subscribe to the condemnation of (Saint) Athanasius & the Nicene faith.
