Day of the Safety Cars!
The odds of the race finishing without any additional safety car interventions were slight, but this particular intervention is still disappointing. The № 63 Corvette was vying with the № 51 Ferrari for the G.T.E. Pro. class lead, but has now been shuffled back to sixth or seventh, trapped behind a different safety car than the leader (the length of the Circuit de la Sarthe necessitates three safety cars, located at intervals around the track), to be the better part of an entire lap behind whenever the field eventually goes "green" again. Alas!
