I apologize for not opining sooner, but I charitably volunteered time on Sunday that I really, really wanted to devote to the glorious, once-a-year adventure of Le Mans, in order to serve others. I was not the most cheerful or mentally agile giver, but I placed the good of others above my own all the same. I pray that next year I will be more prudent, acknowledging that experiencing the 24 Hours of Le Mans in its fullness is a necessary & vivifying self-care ritual. It is right & necessary to serve others, but if I don't take adequate care of myself, I will not be in any shape to help anyone.
