The 24 Heures is about to enter its gloriously surreal phase, in which the dead of night here contrasts with the bright of morning there, & the weary competitors experience a surge of optimism as the claustrophobic night gives way to the boundless dawn—only to realize that they have nine more hours of hard racing ahead of them, with equipment that has already been abused for fifteen or so hours.
The № 64 Corvette continues to run seventh in class, occasionally rising as high as fifth depending on the vagaries of the pit-stop cycle. Come on, boys! Let's go!
