Commentary: I posted the image above on New Year's Day 2020, not having any idea of the horrors & injustices that awaited us in the year then just a few hours old. There is an old rhyme that sums up my attitude as 2021 dawns:
Fool me once, shame on thee;I look forward in hope to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, but without any optimism for this world. The short-term future holds nothing for us but banal tyranny, despair, & endless tragedy.
Fool me twice, shame on me.
