Operation AXIOM: Destination Moon—The 50th Anniversary of Apollo 15, Part III
3-7 August 1971: The Falcon lifted off & docked with the Endeavour, which deployed the Particle & Fields Subsatellite (P.F.S.-1) before leaving lunar orbit; Worden conducted the first deep-space E.V.A. to retrieve film from the S.I.M. bay; the Endeavour splashed down in the Pacific & was recovered by the U.S.S. Okinawa; Scott, Worden, & Irwin were the first Moonwalking crew not to be quarantined.
