Operation AXIOM: The World War
The war was sparked when a Serb assassinated the Austro-Hungarian heir presumptive in June 1914; in October 1915, the Central Powers, with a new member, wrought their terrible vengeance against Serbia. Trench warfare continued on the Western Front, as did the German occupation of most of Belgium.
