Last night, I almost said to a girl I don't love—or at least I don't think I love her—"Goodnight, I love you." The words were right there in my mind and they darn near flowed out through my tongue. I'm trying to figure out what the dickens that might have meant, but I'm long on questions and short on answers.

The Rebel Black Dot Song of the Day
They Might be Giants, "Why Does the Sun Shine? (The Sun is a Mass of Incandescent Gas)" (live) from Severe Tire Damage (T.L.A.M.)

Commentary: "Why Does the Sun Shine?" was mentioned this afternoon on Science Friday. As this live recording has previously served as the R.B.D.S.O.T.D. I thought about using the original version from the Why Does the Sun Shine? E.P., but, no, it's the faster, more aggressive tone of the live version I needed to sate my jones.

Donnerstag, 7 Mai
Great Big Sea, "The Mermaid" via iTunes (T.L.A.M.)

Commentary: The song posits one answer to the question posed by the illustration below, but me, I'd make the other choice.
