Project BLACK MAMBA: Eastertide

Monday, 18 April was the feast of Saint Perfectus of Córdoba, Priest & Martyr (died 850), martyred under the emir Abd ar-Rahman II: Martyr-link & Wikipedia-link.

Commentary: Wayback Machine.

'Twas also the feast of Blessed Marie Anne Blondin, Religious, S.S.A. (1809-1890), foundress of the Sisters of Saint Anne: Blessed-link & Wikipedia-link; Wikipedia-link S.S.A.

Commentary: Bl. Marie Anne's life was a beautiful witness to one of the difficulties that all Christians face during this earthly pilgrimage, namely living in peace with other Christians. She was relentlessly persecuted within her own order by a priest-chaplain who was drunk on his own power & the satanic worship of self.

Commentary: I was out of town from Thursday thru Sunday, my normal routines entirely disrupted. In the scramble to prepare the R.B.D.S.O.T.D. & Project BLACK MAMBA posts for the weekend, I did not have time to read Sunday's readings & the commentary to same ahead of time. I finally caught back up today.
