Urbi et Orbi | Project MERCATOR

On Monday night, I was out of the house with my new Bible study/fellowship group, Followers of the Way, 'til 9:30 P.M. Yesterday, I was out of the house at a rather contentious Knights of Columbus meeting (plus driving a brother Knight home) 'til 10:30. I'm not out carousing, but this night life is still taking a toll.

The Rebel Black Dot Song of the Day
The Cast of The Simpsons (& Gary Portnoy?), "Flaming Moe's" from Songs in the Key of Springfield (T.L.A.M.)

Commentary: "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" was the last R.B.D.S.O.T.D. before the commencement of our annual secular-then-sacred Christmas-music extravaganza, so what more fitting bookend than "Flaming Moe's"? Bottoms up!

"When the weight of the world has got you down and you want to end your life,
Bills to pay, a dead-end job, and problems with the wife,
But don't throw in the towel 'cause there's a place right down the block
Where you can drink your misery away:

"At Flaming Moe's,
(Let's all go to Flaming Moe's),
Where liquor in a mug
Can warm you like a hug,
Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away,
Happiness is just a Flaming Moe away!"

Barflies: "Barney!"
Woody Boyd pastiche: "How's the world treating you, Mister Gumble?"
Barney Gumble: "*belch*"
