Mass Matters?
Obviously, the Mass matters. The infallible teaching of the Church is clear. But I am inconsolable over having been cut off from the sacramental life of the Church. I am also infuriated by those bishops & priests who are live-streaming their Masses, mocking the rest of us with their continued ability to partake of the sacraments. This fiasco is a pastoral & a catechetical disaster through & through. The Church has taught me, is teaching all of us, that in times of crisis, in moments of uncertainty & danger, we ought not flee to the Church; we ought instead turn to the State & the things of this world to save us. The sacraments will not save us, only science will save us.
