I moved the scale to the downstairs water closet after the device would not lock on to a reportable weight in the upstairs water closet (W.C.). Unsure if I was getting a reliable result, I used a fifteen-pound (15 lbs.) dumbbell to test the scale on different parts of the downstairs W.C. floor. For our purposes, I'm taking it on faith that the fifteen-pound dumbbell does in fact weigh fifteen pounds. The scale reported the dumbbell's weight as fifteen & one-fifth pounds (15.2 lbs.). Make of that what you will.
