My mom and dad's excellent friends Roz and Marty came over for dinner tonight (actually, they're still downstairs). Roz is a college English professor and is archetypally liberal. Her best joke of the evening, "I carved Bush and Cheney pumpkins." Beat. "One's scary and one's stupid." Now that's funny.

Apropos of yesterday's "Have A Night," I spent the entire afternoon on the HAL. I went a little crazy posting on the BTW Forums. At least I got a lot of Smith and Winkler ideas out of my head and "onto paper."
