Operation AXIOM: The World War—The Battle of Jutland, Part I
17-31 May 1916: The German High Seas Fleet (Hochseeflotte) schemed to lure a portion of the British Grand Fleet into decisive battle, though the plan to raid the British coast was repeatedly delayed & eventually changed to a raid on the Skagerrak; due to signals intelligence from the "Room 40" codebreakers, the Grand Fleet sailed early & in force to reverse the High Seas Fleet's trap.
Lest we forget.
