The Rebel Black Dot Song of the Day

Earlier today, the Lumi, the Distaff Son of the Mousemobile was passed by a Pontiac sporting the vanity license plate BUBYE, which I read as "Buh-bye!," based, presumably on the vintage '90s Saturday Night Live sketch about the obnoxious airline stewards & stewardesses, who bid all their passengers a sneering "buh-bye!" in lieu of a polite "Good-bye" or "bye, bye." I'm not sure BUBYE was really going fast enough to justify that boastful plate, but 'tis winter, so even on dry roads he might not be driving as aggressively as he might otherwise.

Earlier in the week, I espied a Jeep with the vanity license plate ED MD. I read this as "Ed, Medical Doctor," but there are myriad possibilities. "Edie Maryland," "Education/Educating/Educated Medical Doctor," "Educated (in/at) Maryland," & the list gets sillier from there. Initials do not seem unlikely: "Echo Delta, Medical Doctor." ED MD: concise, yes, but uncommunicative due to the lack of clarity.
