Eugene Andrew Cernan (14 March 1934-16 January 2017), Captain, U.S. Navy–He flew Gemini IX-A (1966) & Apollo 10 (Charlie Brown & Snoopy, 1969) & commanded Apollo 17 (America & Challenger, 1972); during Gemini IX-A, he conducted only the third-ever E.V.A., & the first to attempt useful work; he was the eleventh of the twelve Moonwalkers; his memoir was titled, The Last Man on the Moon.
