Commentary: Shawn's uncle Jack (played by Steven Weber), Henry's ne'er-do-well younger brother, comes to town & leads our heroes on a rollicking treasure hunt. Jack Spencer never recurred as a character, but I look at "The Great Adventure in the History of Basic Cable" as a prototype for the later episodes with the gentleman thief Pierre Despereaux (played by Cary Elwes).
