"Any Given Friday Night at 10 P.M., 9 P.M. Central" (season three, episode thirteen; 30 January 2009): Wikipedia-link.
Commentary: The episode is set around professional football (Any Given Sunday), not high school football (Friday Night Lights). On the one hand, I don't find it credible that Shaw would be a football fan. He seems too cynical, the kind of person who in these latter days would talk derisively about "sportsball." On the other hand, lots of persons one might otherwise not suspect are big fans of both professional & college (which is now also professional) football. I very much enjoy that the fictional Los Angeles Thunderbirds' stadium is called the Thunder Dome.
