Everclear, "Santa Monica" from Sparkle and Fade (Mike Patriot Whiskey)
Commentary: Famously, the words "Santa Monica" are never sung in the song "Santa Monica," but there are clear references to "the West Coast" & "live beside the ocean," & Art Alexakis resisted record label pressure to give "Santa Monica" a different title; so, we here at The Secret Base are satisfied that "Santa Monica" belongs in this cities phase of our musical celebration of America's semiquincentennial.
