The Rebel Black Dot Star Trek Song of the Day
The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, "Theme from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (composed by Dennis McCarthy) from The Music of Star Trek (The Last Angry Trekkie)
Captain's Log: Deep Space Nine was the first television series "Based upon Star Trek created by Gene Roddenberry" rather than "Created by Gene Roddenberry." Whereas by the time I became a Trekkie The Next Generation had already hit its stride & the original cast movies were wrapping up, D.S.9 was mine from the very beginning; I was a devoted "Niner" from the premiere of the pilot episode-cum-T.V. movie, "Emissary" (though the term Niner would not originate 'til the seventh season episode "Take Me Out to the Holosuite"). So, Dennis McCarthy's majestic Deep Space Nine theme was a special place in my heart, over & above my broader love for the Star Trek franchise.
