Project BLACK MAMBA

Today we remember Saint Rose of Viterbo, T.O.S.F. (c. 1233-1251), annually remembered with the procession of La Macchina through the streets of Viterbo: Saint-link ūna, Saint-link duae, & Wikipedia-link Romeo; Wikipedia-link Machine.

We also remember Saint Hermione (d. 117), martyred under the Emperor Trajan: Martyr-link & Wikipedia-link.

Commentary: St. Hermione is one of the daughters of St. Philip the Evangelist (11 October)—not to be confused with St. Philip the Apostle (3 May)—mentioned but not named in the Acts of the Apostles, chapter twenty-one, verses eight & nine:
8 On the next day we resumed the trip & came to Caesarea, where we went to the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the Seven, & stayed with him. 9 He had four virgin daughters gifted with prophecy.
