Operation AXIOM: The World War—The Shell Crisis, Part I
May 1915: In Britain, with The Times blaming the War Secretary, Lord Kitchener, for a shortage of artillery shells on the Western Front, the Liberal cabinet of Prime Minister H. H. Asquith falls, replaced by a Liberal-Conservative coalition government in which David Lloyd George is made the first Minister of Munitions, & passage of the Munitions of War Act 1915.
Lest we forget.
