Commentary: Wayback Machine. Quoth the Holy Redeemer bulletin:
Diocletian, who hated Christians, announced that every Christian the army passed would be arrested & every other soldier should offer a sacrifice to the Roman gods. George refused to abide by the order & told Diocletian, who was angry but valued his friendship with George's father. When George announced his belief before his peers, Diocletian ordered George's execution.

Commentary: Quoth the Holy Redeemer bulletin:
St. Adalbert was the Bishop of Prague & a missionary to the Hungarians, Poles, & Prussians, whow as martyred in his efforts to convert the Baltic Prussians to Christianity. He is the composer of "Bogurodzica," the oldest known Polish hymn.
