Operation AXIOM: The World War
27-29 April 1916: A pair of poison gas cloud attacks (chlorine & phosgene) near Hulluch, France typified the "Chemists' War"—in the first German attack, British gas masks proved inadequate to the concentration of the gas, though the high command lied, accusing the dead of poor gas discipline; in the second attack, the wind changed, & the Bavarians suffocated on their own poison gas.

Lest we forget.
