Commentary: Part I was, "Preparation for the departure from Sinai." We now begin Part II: "From Sinai to the Plains of Moab." (That division is why I read only the first third of chapter ten yesterday.) Departure from Sinai (10:11-28a), Hobab as guide (10:28b-32), in the desert (10:33-36), discontent of the people (11:1-15), the seventy elders (11:16-23), the Spirit on the elders (11:24-30), the quail (11:31-35), jealousy of Aaron & Miriam (12:1-8), & Miriam's leprosy (12:9-16).
