13 August 1969: Three days after leaving quarantine with clean bills of health, Armstrong, Aldrin, & Collins were fêted with ticker-tape parades in first New York City & then Chicago, continuing westward to a state dinner in Los Angeles; the trio addressed a joint session of the United States Congress on 16 September & then embarked on a victory lap around the world, visiting twenty-two foreign nations.
